Human-Machine
Interfaces
IPACT has provided a variety of
human-machine interfaces to support blast
furnace operations on Level II and Level I.
These HMIs have been provided in standard DEC
packages such as DEC Forms, "third party"
packages designed to run under VAX/VMS such as
VXL, and PC-based packages such as InTouch
(Wonderware) and FIX (Intellution).
Applications have included: -
Historical trending with both color graphic CRT and plotter support on Level II

Process mimic screens of major furnace subsystems via color graphic CRTs on Level II

Real time and historical trending screens on Level II

Data entry screens on both Level II and Level I

Process mimic control screens on Level I (also via color graphic CRTs), allowing the operator to still "see" the process even when Level II was unavailable
