Integration with Other Systems

IPACT has designed and implemented or upgraded a number of the "peripheral" systems used in the steelmaking area and integrated them into the overall automation hierarchy at the steelmaking/casting complex.  These have included several spectrometer systems and two Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).  One of the LIMS was part of a totally automatic robotics laboratory.

In addition, IPACT has integrated steelmaking/casting Level II systems upward into the plant business computer systems.  These connections have been accomplished via DAE LU6.2 and SNA Gateways.  The Level II systems accepted practices and schedules from the business systems, and sent production data to them.
