Tisma Cartoner

IPACT designed, implemented, and installed the complete control system and HMI for a Tisma high-speed (400-cpm) Carton/Fill/Seal packaging machine. The snack food manufacturer needed a reliable and maintenance friendly system as this machine was being shipped to a sister plant in the Europe.

The Tisma cartoner consists of carton magazine (for carton supply), infeed belt (to supply product), volumetric fill table (to measure fill volume), carton transport (to erect, fill, glue and close cartons) and a discharge (or take away) conveyor.  Cartons are picked from the magazine by the rotary suction cup pick off, erected in the carton transport chain, bottom glued, filled by the volumetric table, top glued, discharged onto the take away conveyor, checked for open flaps, and then sent onto the casing process.
