Industrial SPC

ISPC was designed with the industrial quality control technician and engineer in mind.  ISPC was also designed to provide workers on the factory floor with "easy access" to the trend and control charts relevant to their job.

Other SPC packages require duplicating data into a special database.  Often, data also needs to be scrubbed before valid analysis can be performed. These requirements are cumbersome, time consuming and often lead to conflicting results.  ISPC assumes production data resides in an existing relational database and is designed to operate directly upon that database.

Overview

ISPC is a user-friendly SPC package. It is designed to serve all users from the same single source database.  ISPC is a Client/Server application, is Windows compliant and utilizes a "point and click" operator interface.

ISPC provides a shell to support the initial one-time custom configuration process.  The custom configuration defines your unique processes, tests performed, and practices.  If necessary for your operation, additional categories can also be defined (e.g., cycle and product grade).

Once configured, specific trend and control charts are defined through the point and click interface. Transparent to the user, selection criteria and graphing parameters are converted to relational database queries.  The queries then operate against the relational database that is assumed to be located in a different node.  The queries may be saved as templates and placed into a manageable library for later use.  Thus, hoarding data in private spin-off files is no longer necessary for most SPC applications.
