Dry Ingredient Batching Client-Server SCADA SystemBuilding on the successful grinding system described above, IPACT supplied PC-based SCADA system to control the entire batching area for the same food manufacturer. The system is a client-server arrangement, with a single server node and three client nodes located at operator stations. This system allows operators to assign materials into bins, select and schedule various recipes to be run, select the destination bins for the finished batches, as well as monitor the entire process and take manual action where necessary via numerous process mimic screens. Also available is a historical trend screen which automatically supports "bin tuning". When the process engineer selects any bin, the system brings up a historical trend of important process parameters associated with that bin (feeder speed, dispensed weight, etc.). Along with the trends, the system retrieves the current set of tuning parameters used for dispensing material from that bin. This allows the process engineer to alter the tuning parameters based on the information displayed on the trend screen.
