Milk and Sucrose Supply
IPACT was selected to automate the production and supply of sweetened condensed milk and sucrose solution to a large candy plant. The facility is completely automatic and requires no operator monitoring or intervention. It produces new batches of these components as they are required and fills requests from the various other production lines as they come in.Like the new snack food line described above, automation was based around ControlLogix PLCs and InTouch HMIs, with all I/O going through various networks (ControlNet, DeviceNet, Foundation Fieldbus, and AS-i). This facility has been a decisive success and has resulted in significant cost savings to the plant.
