Anneal Lines

Configured Fisher and Porter Chameleon controllers to control box anneal furnaces. Designed and developed a DEC communications driver for the F & P equipment, and integrated the 32 Chameleons into a centralized anneal area process monitoring and control system.  The centralized system included a modified cold spot prediction model, and participated in the scheduling of operations.

Configured Fisher Provox Distributed Control System on a Continuous Anneal Line.  Rewrote and developed a communications Ancillary Control Processor (ACP) for Provox/DEC communications interface.  Designed and integrated acquisition software that collected data from the Provox system and from WDPF base Westinghouse systems.  Integrated a Level II computer coupled with the Provox and Westinghouse systems.
