Stove Gas Safety System

IPACT designed and installed a gas safety PLC on a set of blast furnace stoves.  The system insured the safe operation of the combustion systems on each of the three stoves.  The loss of one interlock in a gas safety system is frequently followed very quickly by the loss of other interlocks, leaving the operator uncertain about which was the "real" fault.  To address this issue, the design of this system included "first fault" detection, such that the first interlock lost is captured and displayed to the operator, regardless of subsequent faults.
