Electric Furnace Ladle Metallurgical Station

IPACT designed and developed a communications interface to local automated weighing systems, injectors, metallurgical laboratory, and a local programmable controller on a Ladle Metallurgical Station. Programmed portions of programmable controller ladder logic for station control.  This was a traditional Ladle Met facility at which special alloying materials could be added to alter a particular heat's characteristics.  The local computer collected metallurgical attributes, and supported an Electric Furnace charging model.  All heat metallurgical data was then forwarded into the plant-wide heat history system for permanent storage.
