Hot Strip Finishing Mill Model Replacement

The South Korean Aluminum Manufacturer in the Hot Strip Roughing Mill Model Replacement contacted IPACT about providing a new setup model for their three stand hot strip mill.  The old model had numerous short-comings, and required a great deal of maintenance to manage the hundreds of tables covering the large range of grades, widths, and thickness produced. 

IPACT furnished a new power based model which provided more reliable setups and reduced the number of practice tables from the hundreds to fewer than twenty.  Being power based, the new model allowed for a thicker transfer bar which improved productivity and product quality.  A simple method to manage the model grade parameters was implemented, greatly simplifying model maintenance.

The model learning feature allowed the new model to go on-line and be completely tuned within a matter of days without experiencing a cobble or any loss of productivity.
